Goin' Out of My Head

Well, the first show was probably one of the fastest hours of my life! It got quite hectic in there, and wrestling with the DJ computer was a battle that I thankfully lived to fight again. A few mishaps occurred and I didn't end up having as much time to talk as I wanted (maybe that is a good thing), so I'm gonna put the full playlist (with some thoughts) up here in case you were wondering what a song was.

Goin' Out of My Head (Electric Love) - Electric Concept Orchestra
Whatever Lola Wants (Temptation) - John Keating Orchestra
My Favorite Things (Our Favorite Songs) - The Lennon Sisters
Happy Yodeler (Longing for Switzerland) - Robbie's Alpiners
Black Coffee (Miss Ponytail) - Pat Suzuki
Quiet Village (Quiet Village) - Martin Denny
Route 66 (Guitars) - Al Caiola
My One and Only Love (Let's Dance) - John Gabriel
An American Trilogy (Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite) - Elvis Presley
Fever! (Fever!) - Doc Severinsen
So Nice (Swinging and Singing) - Doc Severinsen
I Left My Heart in San Francisco (Fly Me to the Moon) - Joe Harnell
Fly Me to the Moon (Let's Dance to the Bossa Nova) - Enoch Light
Spectre Detector (Songs for the Suburban Savage) - The Tiki Tones
Hey Jude (This is TOM JONES) - Tom Jones
Mas Que Nada (Herb Alpert Presents) - Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66
Shadow of Your Smile (Shadow of Your Smile) - Arthur Lyman
Angelina/Zooma Zooma (Wildest Show at Tahoe) - Louis Prima

Anyways, that is what actually made it on the air. There were a few songs that I messed up on, so hopefully they will make it into future shows. I wish that there was someway for the listeners to see the album art on these albums. Music is an auditory experience, but with vinyl, the other senses come into play as well! Looking at the covers of some of these albums is almost more fun than listening to them. And for some reason, the Elvis album smells like fresh corn. I wonder why that is. Thanks for listening and tune in next week, same time, same channel!
